(English as Second Language)

The English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are off to a great start!  And we are still accepting new students.  If you who would like to learn English, or if you would like to improve your vocabulary and pronunciation, we invite you to join us on Wednesday nights from 6:00p.m. - 7:30p.m.  Our class calendar follows the Gwinnett County Public School calendar.

Our focus is teaching conversational English for students whose original language is not English.  We offer classes at several levels, so everyone, beginners, fluent speakers, and anyone in between, is welcome.  The program focuses on adults, but middle school and high school students are also welcome.

The teachers are certified to teach these classes.  The classes are free, but there is a charge of $10 for the text book.

Last year we had 110 students from 16 countries.  Please come join us to learn English, American culture, and make new friends.  A Bible Study Class in simple English is also available on Sunday mornings at 9:30 A.M.

Child care is available for preschoolers during the class sessions.  Elementary School children can join SURGE, our ministry for kids through fifth grade.  It is a time for children to increase in knowledge and faith though music and art; and learn about other countries and cultures and people who work and live there.  Middle school and high school students are invited to check out Refuge for a time of worship, small group discipleship, and games.  Refuge is based on Psalm 46:1 because God is our Refuge.

ESLpic2Registration for the ESL classes may be completed on-line by filling out the form below, or in person on Wednesday night.  When you arrive for the first class, you will be evaluated to determine the class assignment based on your current use of English.
