(English as Second Language)

Anyone looking to improve English conversation skill is welcome and several class levels are offered. While the program focuses on adults, youth in Middle and High School can be included. In 2008-09, there were 102 students from nine countries. Currently, there are 82 students from 13 countries. Please come join us, learn English, American culture, and make friends with fellow students and church members.

ESLpic2Teaching focuses on hearing and speaking skills for people whose mother tongue is a language other than English. We welcome anyone who wants to improve these skills to join our class. Two class sessions are held each Wednesday evening between 6:00 P.M. and 7:45 P.M. Classes are not held during public school vacations. The classes are free, but there is a charge of $10 for the text book. A Bible Study Class in simple English is also available on Sunday mornings at 9:30 A.M.

Teachers

Teachers have certified training to teach these classes and are volunteers from the church membership. There is no charge for the classes.

Children

Elementary school age children or youth can join the church's programs for their age group. Some child care will be available for younger children. Preschool children must be taken to the children's area and picked up at 7:30 P.M. for the child's safety.

Registration

Students may register online by completing the form. You may also register at the church's reception desk. When you arrive for the first class, you will be evaluated to determine the class assignment based on your current use of English.
