Prayer

Why We Pray:

The Bible is God’s instruction book of how we should live. In the Bible, God directs us to talk with Him (pray) and ask Him for our needs -- He wants us to know Him and have a relationship with Him:

Philippians 4:6: "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God."

Also, the Bible tells us that we are to pray for the needs of others:

Timothy 2:1: "I exhort, therefore, that first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving thanks, be made for all men."
