Children at First baptist duluth are important to us! As we partner with parents to spiritually grow the next generation, we strive to help children understand the best relationship they will ever encounter, will be a friendship with Jesus Christ. With that in mind, we want to offer opportunities in a safe and secure environment to encourage children and help them grow to love Jesus more each day. Some of the programs we offer our young families with children are:

Sunday mornings are a time for kids explore God’s love and to learn what it means to have a relationship with Jesus. It all begins in Sunday School at 9:30am. Teachers are prepared and ready to explore God’s word with children through discipleship, games, crafts, and video.

KIDS Theatre – Children in K-5th grade go from Sunday School to adult worship with their parents so that they can experience a family worship time together. Kids are dismissed after the offering to go to their own worship – kids style! Children are given the freedom to express their praise through music, Bible study, games, and video. Kids Theatre runs from August through June. Children worship with their families during the month of July.

Half Time – Half way through the week (Wednesday evenings 6:00-8:00 PM) children get a “pick me up” to encourage and strengthen their walk with Christ.  August through May, children enjoy a night of Bible Study, scripture memorization, interactive game time, trivia and fun for kids in grades kindergarten through 5th grade.  Kids can be dropped off at Kids Theatre.

C2C (Connecting 2 Christ) - This is a class designed to help children fully understand the meaning of salvation. Children who are beginning to ask questions concerning a relationship with Christ are encouraged to be a part of this class. It is the desire of the Children’s Ministry to help children have a clear understanding of who Jesus is and what it means to follow Christ. This class is a prerequisite to a child’s baptism and is taught on an “as needed basis”.

Good News Club
We believe that children are not only our future but our present and generations to follow will show whether we have adequately invested in them.  We desire to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to the lives of children at B.B. Harris Elementary through the Good News Club each Monday during the school year.  Our purpose is to reach kids with the love of God, help them understand and live by principles of scripture and connect them to a local church family.   Through this after school program for 2nd through 5th graders, children will have the understanding that Jesus is the good news!
