Driver’s License and Car License
Drivers License
If you are new to Georgia, transfer/renew your out-of-state license within 30 days of moving to Georgia. You have 60 days to change your address if you are an existing Georgia driver.
Vehicle Registration
If you are a new Georgia resident, you first must have a valid Georgia driver’s license.
If your vehicle is registered in Georgia, you must change the address on the registration form.
The ad valorem tax is paid through Gwinnett County.
After you register to vote, you will be sent the information of where to vote and the state and national district information.
To find your polling location, please check the Gwinnett County website for the closest Polling Location to you.
Homestead Exemption
All homeowners who occupy their homes, seniors 62-64 or 65+, 100-percent disabled homeowners, surviving un-remarried spouses of military, peace officers, or firefighters killed in the line of duty.
Adults over 65 can apply for a senior adult exemption which removes all school tax liability. Click HERE for more information about senior homestead exemption.
The public library is a valuable place to checkout books and videos, access computers, learn new skills, hold meetings, and get free passes to museums and parks.
Garbage and Recycling
The City of Duluth Solid Waste & Recycling Department manages the garbage and recycling service.
