Mark is a native of Pulaski, Virginia where he accepted Christ and was baptized. It was there that he was ordained into the ministry and has served as pastor in six other churches prior to coming to First Baptist Duluth, Georgia. Previously, he was the Senior Pastor of Northside Baptist Church in Indianapolis, Indiana. He has been President of the State Convention of Baptists in Indiana and a Trustee for Lifeway Christian Resources. His book Technicolor: Inspiring Your Church to Embrace Multicultural Ministry chronicles the journey of First Baptist Duluth from mono- to multi-cultural ministry. Mark earned his Master of Divinity degree from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Doctorate of Ministry from Luther Rice Seminary. Mark is married to Glenda and they have four daughters, five grandaughters, and four grandsons.

Director of Preschool Ministries
SoYoung grew up in Seoul, Korea and graduated from Ewha Woman’s University with B.A in Christian Studies & M.A in Christian Education. She is also a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX with M.A. in Christian Education, concentration in Childhood Education. Her calling and passion is to set before each child the “Light of the Word”-who is Jesus-the only one who can save them, guide them, and keep them confident and sure, both now and forever. She joined First Baptist Duluth in summer 2014 and loves to serve the Lord and reach out to people in both church and weekday preschool. SoYoung and her husband have 2 daughters, and she enjoys playing piano, spending time with her family & friends, organizing, reading, and scrapbooking.

An Atlanta native, he is a graduate of the University of West Georgia and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He is married to Jennifer, and they have 2 sons and 1 daughter. Todd has served in four different churches in the metro area before coming to First Baptist on April of 2014. He loves anything Disney, Georgia Tech, or Beach related. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, reading, and listening to music.

Jan grew up in North Georgia and has been in the Atlanta area for the past 25 years. Jan has taught children for over 30 years and has served as Children’s Minister and Children’s Coordinator for the past 13 years at an area church. Jan and her husband, Terry, have a daughter, a son, and 3 grandsons.
FAMILY MINISTRY ASSOCIATE
Born in Mexico City, Paola has called various states in both her native Mexico and the United States home. Pao received a Bachelor Degree in Music Therapy from William Carey University and is passionate to utilize her profession to empower individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities to achieve their God-given potential. Cultures, languages, and missions hold a special place in her heart, which match the heartstrings of our Church and community. Among her favorite things to do are exploring cities big and small, as well as playing music, singing, and cooking.

A graduate of Samford University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, he and his wife Margaret have two adult children. Keith has served the Lord at First Baptist Duluth since August 1997. “First Baptist is a ‘seven-day-a-week’ church,” he says. “It reaches people with ministries every day of the week and at many locations — in the community, around the nation and around the world.” Keith and his wife, Margaret, live in Lawrenceville.
Jeong-doo (TOM) RHE

A South Korea native, he and his family have been living the States since 2010. He is a graduate of DaeJeon Baptist Theological Seminary in South Korea, and received a Master of Theological Studies degree from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary in 2012, as well as a Master of Divinity degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2017. He is married to Cindy, and they have three sons. He likes anything outdoor activities, sports, or travel related. The goal of his life is to give only God glory and praise.
His life verse is John 11:25-26: “예수께서 가라사대 나는 부활이요 생명이니 나를 믿는 자는 죽어도 살겠고 무릇 살아서 나를 믿는 자는 영원히 죽지 아니하리니 이것을 네가 믿느냐?”(요한복음11: 25-26

Abioye’s passion is in Missions, Prayer, Reenactment of the Apostolic Era and Leadership. He has been privileged to serve in various leadership capacities both in and out of his denomination while in Nigeria, West Africa. He is a Team player and one given to mentoring and capacity development. A graduate of the Osun State Polytechnic, the Bethel Institute of Theology and Biblical Research and the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary, Ogbomoso, He is presently a student of the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where he is pursuing his Doctor of Ministry with specialization in Strategic Leadership. Abioye is happily married to Adejoke Mof'Oluwake, and the union is blessed with AanuOluwapo and AnjolaOluwa.

Seung-hee (Cindy) Rhe

There are three homes in her heart. First is South Korea where she was born and raised. Second is Logos II, a mission ship of OM, where she served God as a missionary as sailing 40 countries with other missionaries from 35 countries, another family. Third is America where she is found at a wonderful church, First Baptist Duluth, where God has led her to be with this lovely family of God. She is so thankful and thrilled to be at FBCD because it is where her gift is being used as the Korean interpreter and where she is living accordingly what her name means – “connecting girl.”God has equipped her to be here and led her to study in Ewha Woman’s University, get the Master’s in pastoral counseling in Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary along with TESL certificate from Liberty University. She is married to Jeong–doo (Tom) Rhe and has 3 boys, Joseph, Joel, and Daniel.
GLOBAL Ministry Intern
Originally from New Delhi, India, Charlotte graduated from Southern Asia Bible College with Master of Divinity Program. Before coming to America, she ministered to women and Children through Good News Centre in New Delhi, and served as the Child Welfare officer at Bethlehem Children’s Home. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry Program from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, while working as our Global Ministry Intern at FBCD. Her passion is to reach out to local Indians and disciple them to grow in the Lord. In her free time she enjoys listening to music, reading and exploring new places. Charlotte is thrilled to see people at FBCD passionate for God and His kingdom. She believes that “the earth will be filled with the glory of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.” - Hab 2
A Gwinnett County native, Mark loves to see nations come together to worship and serve God, and is excited to be a part of what God is doing among the nations here in Duluth. A graduate of Georgia State University with a B.A. in Linguistics, Mark is currently studying for an Mdiv. at New Orleans Seminary. He married his beautiful wife Kendra in 2015, and they have one son, Everett Israel, born in 2018. Mark enjoys reading, songwriting, traveling, Atlanta United, and, of course, coffee.

Karen has served on the administrative staff since 2000. She also serves as church pianist. Her family moved to Duluth after her husband, Dennis, left the Air Force. They have three children and two grandchildren. Karen enjoys music, reading and especially playing with her grandchildren.
