In 1 Peter 2, the apostle lists four identifying marks of believers. He says "You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's possession." These four statements were used in the Old Testament to describe the Jewish nation, the children of Israel. Now, they are used in reference to the Church, believers in Jesus Christ. For those of us who follow Jesus Christ, this is our identity. And we need to act characteristically of who we are. This sermon series recounts the identity crisis of the apostle Peter and explores his discovery of our new identity in Christ.
